Chablis Hillaire

Born with hydrocephalus in 1975, Chablis was never expected to survive. After thirty-four surgeries, six years of medical dismissal, and trauma no scan could ever see, she’s still here, telling her truth.

A fierce advocate for chronic illness awareness and medical reform, Chablis uses her experiences navigating decades of medical crises and systemic failures to give voice to patients who have been dismissed or unheard. Beyond her advocacy, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and watching sports, and she dreams of one day visiting Chablis, France, the place she was named after.

I survived what should have killed me. Now I’m reclaiming my voice.
